Bharatiya Janata Party national secretary and former Haryana minister Om Prakash Dhankar has authored a motivational book titled Give Your Best, aimed at inspiring individuals to lead purposeful and balanced lives.
Dhankar revealed that the book is the outcome of 12 years of reflection and writing. It opens with a prayer he penned, urging freedom of the soul and clarity of consciousness, which he describes as a universal call beyond sects or ideologies.
In one chapter, he emphasizes the importance of having a “life mantra” — a guiding philosophy that serves as a constant beacon in shaping goals and actions. He links this philosophy to building a meaningful worldview.
The former agriculture minister also stresses the value of balance, invoking Buddha’s middle path as the way to achieve harmony in life.
The book, he says, is a distillation of his personal experiences, travels, and learnings across different phases of life.
Dhankar has previously been active in student politics and national projects, including publishing critiques of past education policies and coordinating efforts for the Statue of Unity.
