Himachal Pradesh has suffered monsoon losses of over ₹4,079 crore between June 20 and September 7 due to landslides, flash floods, and heavy rains. Officials said on Sunday that 366 people have died in rain-related incidents, including 203 deaths from landslides and 163 from road accidents. Another 42 people remain missing.

Since June, the state has reported 135 major landslides, 95 flash floods, and 45 cloudbursts. Around 6,025 houses and 455 shops have been fully or partially damaged. Roads, power lines, and water supply systems remain severely impacted.

A total of 869 roads, including three national highways (NH-3, NH-5, NH-305), are blocked. Nearly 1,572 transformers and 389 water supply schemes have been disrupted. Apple farmers in Shimla and Kullu are struggling to transport produce to markets, with trucks stranded for days.

Officials said heavy rainfall has repeatedly hit the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway, which remained closed for the sixth straight day. The pilgrimage to Mata Vaishno Devi also remains suspended for the 13th day.
