Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has unveiled a new step for women’s safety and travel ease in Bihar. Just before the state elections, he launched 80 pink buses dedicated to women under the second phase of the scheme. At the same event, he also flagged off an e-ticketing system in 1,065 buses run by the Bihar State Road Transport Corporation.
These pink buses are designed only for women passengers, ensuring safe and comfortable journeys across Bihar. CM Nitish personally inspected the buses and reviewed the onboard facilities. He said that the initiative will give women more freedom and convenience in their daily commute.
The government stressed that pink buses will not only boost safety but also provide more comfort for women. Meanwhile, the new e-ticketing system will modernize bus services, making travel more transparent and hassle-free for everyone.
Nitish Kumar also shared on social media that this move is a major step toward safe, reliable, and modern transport. He expressed confidence that these services will empower women and improve mobility across the state.
