The Eagle Team continued its crackdown on drug networks in Andhra Pradesh. A fresh case of cocaine supply created a stir in Krishna district on Tuesday. During routine checks near Penamaluru, police seized 2 grams of cocaine and arrested an auto driver involved in the supply.
Police said the accused had transported the cocaine from Hyderabad. Based on his statement, the Eagle Team has launched an investigation into the drug supply chain operating from Hyderabad. Authorities believe the arrest could provide crucial leads on how cocaine is being transported into coastal Andhra Pradesh.
The crackdown comes days after Maharashtra Crime Branch busted a major drug racket at Vasavi Labs in Charlapalli. Investigations revealed that raw materials for drug manufacturing were supplied from Gurugram. Police are now probing whether similar supply routes exist across other states.
Shockingly, a suspended constable was found working as a laborer in the Charlapalli labs, raising serious concerns about law enforcement infiltration. Officials said the recent seizures highlight the urgent need to dismantle organized drug networks. The Eagle Team has vowed to intensify its operations across Andhra Pradesh to eliminate the growing drug menace.
