Nepal Gen Z protesters, who forced the resignation of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, have now presented a bold list of demands for sweeping reforms. Nepal Gen Z protesters say the movement is not for any party or leader but for the nation’s future.

They declared that those killed in the protests will be honored as martyrs, with families receiving recognition and relief. The group also pledged to create programs to fight unemployment, reduce migration, and tackle social injustice.

Key demands include the dissolution of the current House of Representatives, rewriting the Constitution with youth participation, and holding fresh elections. Protesters also want a directly elected executive, investigations into assets looted over three decades, and reforms in education, health, justice, security, and communications.

Despite Oli’s resignation, unrest continued on Wednesday. Demonstrators stormed Parliament and set it on fire. The Army deployed troops in Kathmandu, Lalitpur, and Bhaktapur to restore order, imposing restrictions in sensitive areas.

The Army warned that certain groups are exploiting the crisis to harm citizens and property. Still, Nepal Gen Z protesters insist that peace will come only through a new political system rooted in accountability and fairness.
