The political buzz ahead of the Bihar Assembly elections intensified after Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) [LJP(RV)] MP Shambhavi Chaudhary made a strong indication about possible seat-sharing with the BJP. Speaking at the Zee Conclave 2025, the Jamui MP suggested that her party is ready to play a significant role in the NDA alliance.
Chaudhary, daughter of Union Minister Chirag Paswan, highlighted the growing influence of LJP(RV) among youth and women voters in Bihar. Without directly announcing the number of seats her party expects, she dropped enough hints that negotiations with the BJP are already underway. “Our party has consistently stood with the NDA and will continue to strengthen the alliance. Discussions on seat-sharing are progressing in the right direction,” she said.
Her remarks come at a time when the BJP is finalizing its election strategy in Bihar, with the ruling NDA looking to counter the INDIA bloc, which includes RJD, Congress, and Left parties. Analysts say the LJP(RV)’s bargaining power has grown after its strong performance in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, where it helped consolidate NDA’s vote share in several constituencies.
Chaudhary also emphasized development issues, women’s empowerment, and the aspirations of Bihar’s younger generation, calling them central to her party’s campaign. She pointed out that the people of Bihar want both stability and progress, which only the NDA can deliver.
With less than two months left for the polls, her comments are being seen as a clear signal that the LJP(RV) will seek a respectable share of assembly seats, while maintaining its alignment with the BJP-led coalition.
