Living Example of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam PM Modi note

Prime Minister Narendra Modi described RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat as a living example of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam while extending wishes on his 75th birthday. The Prime Minister highlighted Bhagwat’s lifelong dedication to societal transformation and his efforts to strengthen harmony and fraternity in India.

In his article, PM Modi said Mohan Bhagwat has always guided the RSS with wisdom, continuity, and adaptation. He called Bhagwat a living example of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam who connected naturally with youth and worked tirelessly to integrate them into the Sangh Parivar.

PM Modi also praised Bhagwat’s role during crucial phases of India’s history, including his active participation in the anti-Emergency movement. He noted that Bhagwat’s grassroots work in rural Maharashtra shaped his understanding of the challenges faced by the poor and marginalized.

Reflecting on his association with the Bhagwat family, the Prime Minister recalled working with Mohan Bhagwat’s father, Madhukarrao Bhagwat, who also dedicated his life to nation-building. Modi described the RSS chief as a guide and philosopher, bringing intellectual depth and empathetic leadership to the organization.

Born on September 11, 1950, in Maharashtra’s Chandrapur district, Mohan Bhagwat has led the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh for over 16 years, becoming one of its longest-serving chiefs.
