Prashant Kishor’s Family Benefit Card Campaign in Bihar

Prashant Kishor launches Family Benefit Card in Bihar, promising ₹20,000 monthly support under Jan Suraaj Party scheme.

Prashant Kishor’s Jan Suraaj Party has launched the Family Benefit Card scheme ahead of Bihar elections. The focus key phrase Prashant Kishor Family Benefit Card highlights the promise of ₹20,000 monthly support for families. The campaign has quickly gained traction, with the party claiming over 50 lakh registration forms collected since August 27.

Under the Family Benefit Card, families are promised five types of benefits: ₹12,000 monthly for job security, ₹2,000 for pensions to the elderly, widows, and disabled, ₹2,500 for labor support in farming, ₹1,000 for school education, and loans of up to ₹5 lakh for women at just 4% interest along with ₹2,500 assistance. The party says only one family member needs to register for eligibility.

The scheme has stirred political debate in Bihar. RJD is promoting its own “Mai Bahin Maan Yojana” with ₹2,500 for women, while BJP’s Deputy CM Samrat Chaudhary labeled Kishor’s plan as a fraud. JD(U) leader Vijay Chaudhary also dismissed it as empty promises.

Kishor, addressing public gatherings during his yatras, appealed for votes by stressing education and jobs over symbolic politics. He also hinted at contesting elections, possibly from Raghopur or his hometown Karahgar, signaling his intent for direct political entry.
