The Indian Army successfully concluded Exercise Siyom Prahar from September 8 to 10, a major field training drill focused on drone warfare. Conducted under battlefield-like conditions, the exercise showcased the Army’s ability to integrate unmanned aerial vehicles into tactical and operational missions.

Army officials said the exercise validated multiple roles for drones, including continuous surveillance, battlefield reconnaissance, target acquisition, and precision strikes. By linking real-time drone inputs with conventional firepower, the Army demonstrated how emerging technology can enhance combat effectiveness and accelerate decision-making.

The central aim was to develop and test new Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs) for future battlefields. These included refining joint targeting processes, improving synergy between combat arms, and ensuring adaptability during fluid operations. The drill also highlighted how drones can act as force multipliers in modern conflicts.

Through Exercise Siyom Prahar, the Army reaffirmed its commitment to innovation. By combining cutting-edge drone technology with proven warfighting skills, it seeks to remain combat-ready and future-focused. Officials said the outcomes will provide valuable lessons for operational integration and ensure India’s forces retain decisive superiority across the conflict spectrum.
