A shocking incident in Yakutpura’s Rein Bazar division has sparked public outrage after a child fell into an open manhole in Maulaka Chilla Basti. The child survived, but the negligence has triggered a blame game among municipal departments, including HYDRAA, GHMC, and the Water Board.
Reacting strongly, BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao (KTR) criticized the state government on social media platform X. He lashed out, asking whether the government was running an administration or a circus. He accused officials of endangering lives through their lack of coordination.
KTR alleged that instead of fixing responsibility, departments were busy shifting blame. GHMC claimed HYDRAA was at fault, while HYDRAA blamed the Water Board. In turn, the Water Board denied any involvement. KTR ridiculed this behavior as proof of total administrative failure.
He further said Chief Minister Revanth Reddy was more interested in money politics than public safety. KTR added that the disorganized functioning of municipal departments had created a living hell for Hyderabad residents. The incident has renewed criticism of civic negligence in the city, with citizens demanding strict accountability and immediate action.
