The YSRCP has announced that party chief and former CM Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy personally called and assured support to party worker Giridhar, who was injured in a brutal attack allegedly carried out by Jana Sena activists.

According to the party’s official statement on social media, Giridhar had questioned Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan during a public discussion in Krishna district’s Tallapalem . He raised sensitive issues, including Pawan’s past remarks about 33,000 missing women and the Sugali Preethi case. Unable to respond, Jana Sena supporters allegedly resorted to violence, assaulting Giridhar and vandalizing his property.

Currently undergoing treatment in the hospital, Giridhar received a phone call from Jagan, who expressed solidarity and promised all necessary assistance. The YSRCP condemned the attack as political intolerance and accused Jana Sena of silencing dissent through hooliganism, while vowing to stand by its injured activist.
