Heavy rainfall in Himachal village caused massive destruction in Bilaspur district on Saturday (September 13, 2025). Several vehicles were buried under debris, and farms were severely damaged. According to the State Emergency Operation Centre (SEOC), the heavy rainfall in Himachal village also disrupted daily life across the state.

In Gutrahan village of Namhol area, gushing waters swept through agricultural lands. Kashmir Singh, a local villager, said the debris and water destroyed large portions of fertile land. Farmers expressed fear of losing their entire harvest this season.

Meanwhile, Shimla woke up to thick fog, reducing visibility to just a few metres. School children and commuters faced inconvenience on the roads. The local Met office issued a yellow alert, warning of heavy rainfall in isolated parts of the state over the weekend.

The damage extended to infrastructure as well. Officials confirmed that 503 roads, including major highways like Attari-Leh (NH-3), remained blocked. In addition, 953 power transformers and 336 water supply schemes were disrupted.

Since June 20, Himachal has recorded 386 deaths due to rain-related incidents and accidents. Losses have reached ₹4,465 crore. Meteorological data shows the state received 967.2 mm rainfall—43% above normal.
