YSR Congress Party chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy launched a sharp attack on Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu , accusing him of setting “unmatched records” in the fall of crop prices . Jagan claimed that no other leader could achieve such records, mocking Chandrababu’s handling of the agriculture sector.
He pointed out that farmers are in deep distress as prices of essential crops like onions and tomatoes have plummeted, yet the government has failed to show compassion. “ Should farmers not be allowed to survive? What is the use of a government that turns a blind eye to their suffering?” Jagan questioned.
Criticizing the announcement of ₹1,200 per quintal for onions as a mere gimmick , he demanded immediate relief measures. Jagan urged the government to stand by farmers in this crisis and demonstrate humanity rather than indulge in hollow statements and ineffective promises.
