BRS working president and former minister K.T. Rama Rao (KTR) accused the BJP-led central government of disrespecting both the Indian Constitution and Supreme Court directives. In a sharp post on social media platform X, he commented that BJP supporters were rattled after the BRS welcomed the Supreme Court’s interim order on the Waqf Amendment Act-2025. “They neither respect the Constitution nor honor the directions of the highest court,” KTR remarked, calling BJP’s stance disgraceful.
KTR also recalled the Pahalgam terror attack, in which 26 innocent civilians were killed five months ago. He criticized the BJP for remaining silent while India continues to play cricket with Pakistan, the nation accused of supporting terrorism.
He argued that despite victims’ families protesting the attack, the BJP failed to respond. Stressing that BRS represents true nationalism, KTR said real patriotism lies in equality across caste, religion, and community, unlike BJP’s jingoistic arrogance.
