Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Madhya Pradesh’s Dhar district on September 17 to lay the foundation stone of the country’s first PM MITRA Park and launch the fortnight-long Sewa Pakhwada. The Prime Minister will also roll out the Swasth Nari Sashakt Parivar Abhiyan at Bhainsola village during his birthday visit.
The PM Modi to lay foundation of PM MITRA Park initiative marks a major step for India’s textile industry. According to Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, the project has already drawn investment proposals worth ₹23,000 crore from 114 textile companies. Moreover, the park could generate nearly three lakh jobs, bringing opportunities to lakhs of families across the state.
Spread over 2,158 acres, the PM MITRA Park follows the 5F vision — Farm-to-Fibre-to-Factory-to-Fashion-to-Foreign. Authorities have allotted about 1,300 acres, and they plan to release the remaining land in phases. Therefore, the project promises both industrial growth and long-term employment.
Meanwhile, PM Modi will launch Sewa Pakhwada, a two-week campaign from September 17 to October 2. The program will include state-wide health check-up camps, voluntary blood donation drives, and nutrition counseling. In addition, doctors will screen people for diabetes, hypertension, anaemia, and tuberculosis. Adolescent girls will also receive training sessions on menstrual hygiene and healthy diets.
CM Yadav highlighted that women’s health and empowerment form the backbone of social progress. He added that Madhya Pradesh must play a central role in achieving the Developed India 2047 mission. Consequently, this visit by the Prime Minister reflects both economic ambition and a commitment to social welfare.
