Political tensions have risen sharply in NTR district following the coalition government’s actions to block YSRCP leader and former minister Jogi Ramesh’s visit to Mulapadu. Ramesh had planned to inspect illegal ash dumps being transported by TDP leaders, a practice he claims is being exploited for illegal earnings.

On Wednesday, as Ramesh attempted to visit Mulapadu, the coalition government intervened, deploying police forces to prevent his entry. Large police deployments were seen in Ibrahimpatnam and around Ramesh’s residence, where Section 144 was imposed, preventing group gatherings.

YSRCP activists gathered in large numbers at Ramesh’s residence, protesting the police action and pleading to be allowed to visit the site. The situation escalated, creating a tense atmosphere. Meanwhile, TDP MLA Vasantha Krishna Prasad has vehemently denied the allegations of illegal ash trade, adding to the political drama surrounding the incident.
