The court has accepted the police’s closure report in a case against rapper Yo Yo Honey Singh. As a result, Court Quashes FIR registered at Mataur in 2018.
The case stemmed from complaints that Honey Singh’s song “Makhna” used obscene and derogatory words against women. ASI Lakhwinder Kaur and Manisha Gulati, then Chairperson of the Punjab Women’s Commission, filed the complaints.
During the National Lok Adalat, both complainants said they had no objections to dismissing the case. Based on their statements, the court accepted the closure report, bringing the legal matter to an end.
