A.K. Antony, former Kerala Chief Minister and senior Congress leader, said he will share key aspects of his political career after the 2026 Kerala Assembly elections. At a rare press conference, the 85-year-old leader mentioned that, if he remains alive after the elections, he will speak about important moments in his political journey.

This statement followed criticism from Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan in the Assembly, where Antony’s tenure was discussed. Antony responded, particularly addressing the 1995 police action in Sivagiri. He explained that the Kerala High Court had ordered the police intervention, and he had to act after exhausting all other options.

Regarding the Muthanga incident in 2003, Antony expressed regret for the deaths of an adivasi and a police officer. He clarified that he had provided land to the adivasis but was wrongfully blamed for the violence.

He called on the Left government to release the judicial and CBI reports on both incidents.
