Adani Group CFO Jugeshinder Singh advised Indian professionals to focus on opportunities in India following the US H-1B visa fee hike. Singh, who has worked in the US, Europe, and Australia since 1996, wrote on social media that India offers unprecedented growth. “India will add an economy the size of the US in the next 25 years. Many doors are open back home,” he said, encouraging talent to return and contribute to the country’s development.

The announcement by US President Donald Trump raised the H-1B visa fee to $100,000 for new applicants, causing panic among Indian tech professionals. Immigration attorneys and companies urged holders abroad to return quickly to avoid being stranded. Indians make up around 71% of all H-1B approvals.

The fee hike initially raised fears of disruption to Indian IT services and families of workers. Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal is set to visit the US soon to discuss trade issues.

The White House later clarified that the $100,000 fee is a one-time charge for new applicants only. Current visa holders and renewals are not affected. H-1B holders can continue to leave and re-enter the US as usual.
