Additional special trial courts will strengthen judicial system, says Supreme Court
The Supreme Court said that setting up additional special trial courts would help make the judicial system stronger and more efficient. The court noted that these special courts would reduce delays and help in the faster disposal of important cases.
A Bench of the Supreme Court made the observation while hearing a matter related to the setting up of special courts. The judges said that increasing the number of such courts would improve access to justice and reduce the burden on regular courts.
During the hearing, the Bench asked the law officer to inform the court about the progress made in establishing a special court. The court directed that details of the development should be submitted by February 10.
The Supreme Court stressed the need for timely action and proper planning in setting up these courts.
