There is a huge demand for flats in Rajiv Swagruha gated communities as a large number of applications were received for 1, 2, and 3 BHK flats in Bandlaguda. These affordable flats, priced between ₹15–18 lakh, aim to fulfill the middle-class dream of owning a home.
The Rajiv Swagruha Corporation conducted a transparent lottery system in the presence of officials to allot the flats. The Bandlaguda main road was crowded with applicants during the process.
Managing Director VP Gautam said applicants who couldn’t secure flats in Bandlaguda could apply for flats in Pocharam. For 3 BHK flats, 1,325 applications were received for just 11 flats, while 525 people applied for 19 available 2 BHK flats. Similarly, 234 applications were received for 105 single-bedroom flats.
In total, the corporation constructed 2,746 flats in Bandlaguda and invited applications in July for 159 vacant flats. Of these, 131 flats were allotted on Wednesday. Except for nine flats reserved for senior citizens and 19 1-BHK flats, all were sold.
Through these sales, the Rajiv Swagruha Corporation earned around ₹26 crore, providing affordable housing options for middle-class families under specific eligibility conditions.
