The government has introduced AI Bands for Hajj Pilgrimage to improve safety and assistance for pilgrims this year. The step comes as tensions rise in the Middle East. Officials want to ensure that every pilgrim receives quick help during the journey.
With AI Bands for Hajj Pilgrimage, each traveler will receive a smart wearable device. The band includes an emergency button that pilgrims can press if they feel unwell or face any problem. Once pressed, the control room receives an alert and sends help immediately.
The smart band also tracks the pilgrim’s location and health data such as blood pressure and oxygen level. Authorities can monitor this information to respond quickly in crowded places and prevent emergencies.
The Hajj journey will begin on April 18 this year. Thousands of pilgrims from different states in India will travel to Saudi Arabia through major cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, and Hyderabad.
Officials say the technology will improve safety and make the pilgrimage more organized and secure.
