Ajaz Khan Booked Over Social Media Post on Indore Gangster Salman Lala

Actor Ajaz Khan facing police case over social media post about Indore gangster Salman Lala

Actor Ajaz Khan, who gained popularity through Bigg Boss 7, has landed in legal trouble after a controversial social media post regarding the death of Indore gangster Salman Lala.

According to reports, Ajaz shared a video on Instagram where he questioned the circumstances of Salman Lala’s death. He claimed that the gangster, known to be a good swimmer, could not have drowned accidentally, and suggested his religion may have played a role. The remarks were viewed as an attempt to create communal tension.

The Indore Crime Branch has registered a case against Ajaz Khan under various sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), including charges related to promoting enmity between groups and spreading misinformation. Police officials confirmed that they are also working with Instagram’s parent company, Meta, to review and possibly take down the content.

The case was filed after a complaint by a local resident, Irshad Hakim, who alleged that Ajaz Khan’s video was provocative and could disturb peace. Following the uproar, Ajaz deleted the video and issued a clarification. He claimed he was unaware of Salman Lala’s criminal background and believed him to be a social media influencer. “Once I learned the truth, I immediately took down the post. I had no intention to glorify him or hurt anyone,” he said.

This incident has sparked fresh debate about celebrities’ responsibility on social media. Experts note that with large followings, actors and influencers must be cautious, as even casual remarks can trigger controversy and legal consequences.

For now, Ajaz Khan remains under investigation, and police say further action will depend on the outcome of their probe.
