Ajmer Urs 2025 Ghusl dispute ended late Friday night after successful mediation by district administration and police officials.
The disagreement had surfaced over the traditional ghusl ritual at the Ajmer Dargah ahead of the 814th Urs.
Tension had prevailed in the shrine complex for several days due to differing views among stakeholders.
After a long meeting, all concerned parties reached a mutual agreement.
It was decided that Nasiruddin Chishti will perform the ghusl ritual this year.
He is the son of Dargah Diwan Syed Zainul Abedin Ali Khan.
Officials clarified that the Diwan expressed his inability to perform the ritual due to health issues.
He requested that the responsibility be handed over to his son.
Some khadims objected earlier, which escalated the matter and created unease.
During the meeting, all sides discussed the issue while respecting traditions and religious sentiments.
They signed a consent letter to formalize the decision.
Authorities emphasized maintaining the dignity and sanctity of the Urs rituals.
Following the agreement, calm returned to the Dargah premises.
Officials urged everyone to uphold peace, harmony, and brotherhood during Urs celebrations.
