Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav has fired back at Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s recent “Appu, Pappu, and Tappu” jibe. Speaking during an election rally ahead of the Bihar polls, Yadav said that if Adityanath sat among a group of monkeys, no one would be able to recognise him.
Yadav accused the BJP of using Gandhi’s three monkeys analogy to distract voters from real issues. He claimed the ruling party was trying to divert attention from unemployment, inflation, and law and order problems.
Earlier, Yogi Adityanath had mocked Opposition leaders — Akhilesh Yadav, Rahul Gandhi, and Tejashwi Yadav — calling them “Appu, Pappu, and Tappu.” He warned voters that these leaders wanted to bring back “jungle raj” in Bihar.
Adityanath praised the Nitish Kumar-led NDA government for improving law and order and generating jobs. He urged voters to stay united, saying, “If you are divided, you will perish.”
Bihar is heading for a high-stakes Assembly election. The first phase of polling will take place tomorrow, followed by the second on November 11. Votes will be counted on November 14.
