Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav has demanded that Aadhaar cards be integrated with chips to ensure fair elections. He said this step will prevent fraudulent votes using fake Aadhaar IDs. Yadav emphasized that proper voter verification is crucial to protect democracy and uphold public trust.
During discussions with party leaders from Auraiya district, he stressed that a caste census will help implement reservations effectively. Yadav highlighted the PDA community—backward classes, Dalits, and minorities—as central to solving local problems through unity and strength. He recalled that PDA members’ hard work helped the SP win more MP seats in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, where the party finished third.
Yadav also accused the BJP government of spreading hatred in society and undermining equality, freedom, and brotherhood. He warned that conspiracies are targeting the independence of constitutional institutions, including the Election Commission.
The SP chief urged party workers to counter misinformation with facts and logic. He asked them to monitor voter lists, add supporters’ votes, and strengthen the party at the booth level. He stressed that grassroots-level organization will play a key role in upcoming elections.
Experts said Yadav’s emphasis on Aadhaar chip integration highlights concerns about election transparency. Analysts noted that secure voter identification can reduce fraud and improve confidence in democratic processes.
Yadav concluded by asserting that the SP will form the Uttar Pradesh government in 2027. He said the BJP’s days are numbered and reaffirmed his party’s commitment to empowering PDA communities and ensuring fair elections across the state.
