A woman from Muzaffarpur has accused Muhammad Furqan of sexually harassing her for five years. She claims he promised to marry her but repeatedly forced physical relations and threatened her family. The victim says Muhammad Furqan sexually harassed her and also demanded money, causing fear and distress.
The woman alleges the abuse started after a local village meeting where marriage was discussed. She says Furqan refused to marry her and later used threats to control her. He allegedly threatened to release private videos if she exposed him.
Despite filing multiple complaints at the police station, she says authorities ignored her. Her lawyer has now approached the National and State Human Rights Commissions to seek justice.
The case highlights the difficulties women face in rural areas when seeking justice for long-term abuse. Police officials have not yet commented, and the next steps remain unclear.
