The Amit Shah Patna visit has created strong political activity in Bihar. He is arriving a day before Nitish Kumar’s oath-taking ceremony. This Amit Shah Patna visit is his first trip after the NDA’s big win in the Bihar elections. His arrival marks the final stage of forming the new government.
Nitish Kumar will take oath as Chief Minister for the tenth time on November 20. The current Bihar Assembly will dissolve on November 19, and he will resign before the new government starts. BJP leaders say the list of ministers will be finalized in Patna itself. Around 15 ministers may be included, and nearly 10 of them, including the Deputy CM, will take oath with Nitish Kumar.
Top BJP and JDU leaders met earlier in Delhi to discuss cabinet names. On Wednesday, both the NDA and BJP legislative parties will meet in Patna to choose their leaders. Party observers from Delhi will also join these meetings.
Newly elected BJP MLAs have started reaching Patna. They are being welcomed at the party office, and celebrations are going on.
Amit Shah played an important role in the NDA’s victory. He held 28 rallies, covering 141 seats, and his strike rate reached 88.6%.
