Amit Shah Targets Lalu, Sonia at Bihar Rally; Calls Mahagathbandhan a ‘Thug Bandhan’
At a rally in Darbhanga ahead of the Bihar Assembly polls, Union Home Minister Amit Shah launched a sharp attack on the Opposition alliance, calling the Mahagathbandhan a “thug bandhan.” Shah accused Lalu Prasad Yadav of corruption in fodder, bitumen, and land-for-jobs scams, while alleging that the Congress was involved in scams worth over ₹12 lakh crore. He said Lalu wants to make his son Tejashwi Yadav the Chief Minister and Sonia Gandhi wants to make her son Rahul Gandhi the Prime Minister, but “both posts are not vacant.” Shah claimed that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Bihar is witnessing rapid development and corruption-free governance. He urged voters to reject dynastic politics and support the NDA for continued progress. The remarks come as campaigning intensifies across Bihar, with both alliances vying for control of the politically crucial state.
