Anant Singh Arrest Sparks Political Storm Ahead of Bihar Elections

Anant Singh Arrest

The arrest of Anant Singh has sparked a major political storm ahead of the Bihar Assembly elections. In a new twist, authorities have filed cases against Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary and Union Minister Lallan Singh for allegedly violating the Model Code of Conduct during a roadshow in Mokama.

Reports say both leaders were campaigning in support of Anant Singh when their long convoy caused heavy traffic congestion. Police seized two vehicles using sirens illegally and took action against the event organizer. They also inspected all vehicles that took part in the roadshow.

The rally stretched from Bahrapur to Mokama Tiraha Chowk, with flower showers and large, cheering crowds. While addressing supporters, Lallan Singh claimed that “Anant Singh has been framed in a conspiracy” and assured that the truth would soon come out.

Police arrested Anant Singh earlier in connection with the Dular Chand murder case. Patna Police detained him in Mokama.

The Bihar Assembly elections will take place in two phases — on November 6 and November 11 — with results scheduled for November 14.
