The Andhra Pradesh High Court has expressed strong displeasure with the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) for its failure to act on alleged irregularities in Parakamani (cash counting) operations. During the hearing, the bench reprimanded TTD officials, saying, “You might as well remain asleep a little longer since no action has been taken yet.”
The court questioned why a counter affidavit had not been filed despite repeated directions and warned that continued negligence would not be tolerated. It also directed the TTD Executive Officer (EO) to personally appear before the court during the next hearing on October 27.
The remarks reflect the court’s growing frustration over administrative lapses and lack of accountability in temple management, especially concerning handling of offerings and financial transparency.
