The Andhra Pradesh Legislative Council session began promptly at 10 AM with Chairman Moshen Raju initiating the question-and-answer session. However, YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) leaders raised urgent concerns regarding farmer issues, including fair prices for crops and the urea shortage, and sought a discussion on these matters. Chairman Raju postponed the proceedings and suggested addressing these concerns at a later time.

In response, YSRCP members began protesting within the House, chanting slogans against the government. Agriculture Minister Atchannaidu declared that the government was always ready to discuss farmer issues. Tensions escalated when TDP members accused the YSRCP of neglecting farmers’ needs during its tenure, leading to a heated exchange.

As the protests continued, Chairman Raju intervened and suggested discussing the matter in the Business Advisory Committee (BAC), but the session was adjourned after YSRCP leaders approached the podium. The session’s abrupt end highlighted ongoing political friction in the Assembly.
