Andhra Pradesh Records Highest-Ever December GST Collections at ₹2,652 Crore
Andhra Pradesh recorded a 5.78% growth in net GST collections in December 2025, with total revenue reaching ₹2,652 crore, the highest-ever for the month since the Goods and Services Tax (GST) was implemented in 2017. Officials said the growth reflects stronger economic activity, improved compliance, and efficient tax administration across the State.
The collections were driven by contributions from key sectors including manufacturing, trade, and services. Officials highlighted that the increase would provide the government with additional resources to fund welfare schemes, infrastructure projects, and developmental initiatives. Compared to December 2024, the rise in revenue demonstrates steady economic resilience despite global and domestic challenges.
State authorities emphasized that sustained GST growth is crucial for fiscal stability and long-term planning. They also credited awareness campaigns and simplified filing processes for encouraging timely tax payments by businesses, which helped boost overall collections during the festive and year-end season.
This milestone positions Andhra Pradesh among the top-performing states in GST revenue growth for the month of December.
