Andhra Pradesh Finance Minister Payyavula Keshav presented the state’s ₹3.32 lakh crore budget for the year 2026–27in the state assembly on Saturday. The budget aims to balance social welfare, education and development while keeping financial health in check. It includes big allocations for school education, health services, backward classes and rural development, showing the government’s focus on public services and equity.
In his speech, the minister called the budget not just numbers but a plan for growth and people’s dreams after past challenges faced by the state.
A new idea in the budget is the proposal to create an “AP Wealth Fund” with a starting amount of ₹100 crore. This fund will invite private investors to take part so the state can make long-term wealth and income.
Overall, the budget focuses on education, welfare and fiscal reforms to help Andhra Pradesh grow steadily.
