Anti-encroachment drive near No Man Land at India–Nepal border in Bihar

Authorities have started an anti-encroachment drive near No Man Land along the India–Nepal international border in Bihar’s Sitamarhi district. Officials from both countries met local residents and asked them to cooperate with the administration. The anti-encroachment drive near No Man Land aims to remove illegal structures and protect the boundary area.

The meeting focused on the border area near Kanhma village. Officials plan to measure the land on both sides to identify encroached areas. Residents suggested that authorities should first complete the survey and then give people around 15 days to remove illegal structures.

Villagers also raised concerns about a nearly 200-year-old Shiva temple located in the No Man Land area. People from both India and Nepal visit the temple for worship. Residents urged officials to protect the temple and respect religious sentiments.

Officials from the SSB, Nepal Armed Police Force, and local administration attended the meeting. They assured people that authorities will handle the matter peacefully and through mutual discussion.
