AP Minister Nara Lokesh reacts strongly to the Tuni school assault case, ensuring student safety and strict action.

Andhra Pradesh Minister Nara Lokesh strongly condemned the shocking incident in Tuni, East Godavari district, where an elderly man tried to sexually assault an eighth-grade girl at a Gurukula school. The accused, Tatik Narayan Rao, reportedly belongs to the TDP and previously served as a municipal councillor. The incident immediately drew widespread attention across the state.

The girl was lured out of the school, but a local youth noticed them in a sapota orchard and recorded a video. As a result, the video went viral, and the police quickly arrested Narayan Rao. Authorities registered a POCSO case against him. Consequently, the community demanded swift justice.

Minister Lokesh warned that anyone committing such crimes will face strict action. Moreover, he instructed officials to enhance security for students in Gurukula schools and welfare hostels. Authorities will provide counseling and full support to help the victim recover.

The incident triggered widespread outrage across Andhra Pradesh. Additionally, residents questioned the school administration’s negligence, and opposition leaders demanded accountability for all involved. Minister Lokesh emphasized that protecting students remains a top priority. Furthermore, he urged authorities to act decisively to prevent similar incidents in the future.
