An APSRTC bus overturned in Gadwal, Telangana, on Wednesday, leaving 20 passengers injured. The accident took place when the bus lost control on a stretch of road, officials said.
The injured passengers were immediately taken to nearby hospitals for treatment. Most of them suffered minor injuries, while a few are under observation for more serious conditions. Doctors confirmed that their condition is stable.
The bus driver has been taken into custody by the police for questioning. Authorities are investigating the cause of the accident, including whether overspeeding or negligence played a role.
APSRTC officials said they are cooperating with the police and promised to provide support to the injured passengers. They also reminded drivers to follow traffic rules strictly to avoid such accidents in the future. Local residents and authorities rushed to help the victims and assist with emergency services at the scene.
