APSRTC Partners with Google Maps to Enable Online Bus Ticket Booking
The Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) has integrated its services with Google Maps, allowing passengers to book bus tickets directly through the platform. The initiative aims to enhance convenience and promote digital adoption in public transport. Initially, the service has been launched on a pilot basis for the Vijayawada–Hyderabad route, with plans to expand to other major routes across the state in the coming months. Passengers can now view real-time bus schedules, seat availability, and ticket prices on Google Maps before completing their bookings. APSRTC officials said the collaboration is part of broader efforts to improve passenger experience through technology-driven solutions. The move is expected to streamline ticketing, reduce long queues at counters, and attract more travelers to use state-run buses. Authorities added that feedback from the pilot phase will help fine-tune the system before statewide implementation.
