Ashok Choudhary Slaps ₹100 Cr

Ashok Choudhary, Bihar’s Rural Works Minister and JD(U) leader, has slapped a ₹100 crore defamation notice on Jan Suraaj Party founder Prashant Kishor. The notice demands either proof of Kishor’s corruption allegations or a public apology within one week. If not, Choudhary warns of criminal proceedings and a civil suit.

The defamation notice stems from a press conference held by Prashant Kishor in Patna on September 19, 2025. During the event, Kishor accused Choudhary of involvement in a ₹200 crore land deal. Ashok Choudhary responded swiftly, stating that the claims were “wild, frivolous, and defamatory,” and aimed at tarnishing his reputation.

Ashok Choudhary has served Bihar for over three decades and emphasized his clean record and academic credentials, including a presentation at Harvard University. He clarified that he has no links to MVV Nyas, the entity mentioned in Kishor’s allegations.

Ashok Choudhary’s ₹100 crore defamation notice marks a serious escalation in Bihar’s political landscape, especially with assembly elections approaching. The minister insists that Kishor’s statements were made with malicious intent and must be retracted.
