Authorities confirmed the epicenter near Morigaon, Assam, at a depth of roughly 50 kilometers. Its coordinates were 26.37°N latitude and 92.29°E longitude.
Residents reported brief but intense shaking across the region. Despite the sudden quake, officials confirmed there have been no casualties or major property damage so far. Local administration teams continue monitoring the situation and collecting updates from vulnerable areas.
