Atchannaidu Challenges Jagan on Farmer Welfare, Accuses Him of Misinformation
Andhra Pradesh Minister Atchannaidu has accused Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy of making false claims regarding the state’s agricultural sector and challenged him to a public debate on farmer welfare. The minister alleged that the agricultural sector suffered significant setbacks during the YSRCP’s tenure, including poor implementation of welfare schemes, inadequate support for farmers, and slow recovery from natural calamities.
Atchannaidu claimed that Jagan is attempting to mask these failures through misinformation and political rhetoric. He urged the Chief Minister to engage in a transparent discussion, providing facts and figures on government initiatives, crop support measures, and farmer income enhancement programs.
The minister emphasized that a constructive debate on agriculture is crucial, as the state’s economy heavily depends on the sector. He called for accountability and urged the government to focus on tangible solutions for farmers rather than resorting to political point-scoring.
