Back-to-Back Bus Tragedies Shock Telugu States

A series of bus accidents across the Telugu states within just 24 hours has created panic among the public. The tragic Mirzaguda crash, which claimed 19 lives, had barely faded from memory when more accidents struck Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.

The first accident occurred in Chevella’s Mirzaguda area on Monday morning when a tipper lorry rammed into an RTC bus, killing 19 people and injuring several others. Later that night, a private bus overturned near Jubilee Nagar in Eluru district, leaving one person dead and many injured.

In another incident, an RTC bus from Metpally depot heading to Karimnagar crashed into a tractor loaded with grain near Renikunta. Fifteen passengers and the tractor driver sustained serious injuries. In Satya Sai district, a travels bus collided with an Eicher vehicle at Damajipalli highway, resulting in one woman’s death and nine injuries.

The fifth major crash took place near Buggabaavigudem in Nalgonda district, where a private bus speeding along the Addanki–Narketpalli highway rammed into a tractor, injuring five passengers. With back-to-back crashes, people are now afraid to board both private and government buses in the Telugu states.
