Former minister and ex-Ongole MLA Balineni Srinivasa Reddy has confirmed that he will contest from Ongole in the upcoming assembly elections. He stated that even if he does not get a Jana Sena ticket, he will contest as an independent candidate.
Speaking to reporters, Balineni expressed confidence, saying he would never leave Ongole and would contest with the blessings of the people. He made it clear that his participation in the election is certain, either on behalf of Jana Sena or as an independent.
Balineni, who had never lost in Ongole earlier, faced a major defeat in the 2024 elections as a YSRCP candidate. After the loss, he left YSRCP and joined Jana Sena. However, it is still uncertain whether he will receive the party ticket.
His recent participation in the Markapuram public meeting and his differences with Ongole MLA Damacherla Janardhan have intensified political discussions locally. Balineni’s comments have added excitement to Ongole politics, indicating that his fight will continue regardless of party support.
