Lawyers for Bhagirath asked the court to grant interim bail. They argued that some records in the case have differences. They also questioned the details about the victim’s age in the documents. The defence urged the court to review these points before taking a final decision.
However, the judge said the court cannot grant Bandi Bhagirath interim bail at this stage. The judge noted that the case needs closer examination.
The High Court will continue hearing the anticipatory bail petition soon. Meanwhile, police are continuing their investigation in the POCSO case. The court is expected to give further directions in the coming days.
