Bengaluru, known as India’s tech hub, is now facing a serious traffic crisis. Years of poor planning and rapid urban growth have turned the city into a gridlocked nightmare for daily commuters. Roads are crowded with cars, two-wheelers, buses, and auto-rickshaws, causing long delays and frustration.
Experts say that the city’s infrastructure has not kept pace with the growing population. New residential and commercial areas have developed without proper road networks or public transport options. Traffic signals, flyovers, and widening of roads have not solved the problem.
Public transport is limited, and metro and bus services are still not enough to handle the large number of commuters. Pollution levels are rising, and people are losing hours stuck in traffic every day.
Urban planners say Bengaluru needs better city planning, improved public transport, and stricter traffic management to make the city liveable again.
This situation shows how rapid growth without planning can create long-term problems for citizens.
