Bengaluru is growing quickly, and the Karnataka government is working to address its infrastructure problems, Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar assured today. He responded to concerns over poor road conditions, especially after a logistics firm announced it would leave due to traffic jams.
Shivakumar, who oversees Bengaluru Development, acknowledged that the city’s rapid growth requires more action. To tackle this, the government has created five new corporations and is planning the Greater Bengaluru Authority for larger projects. Some tech areas are still managed by local panchayats, which delays responses, but the government is working to bring them under the Greater Bengaluru Authority.
Shivakumar confirmed that road repairs are underway. Funds have been allocated, and contractors are on strict deadlines. Despite concerns from companies like BlackBuck, Shivakumar insisted that no company will leave Bengaluru. He emphasized that Bengaluru offers unmatched infrastructure and talent.
Shivakumar also criticized the BJP for not securing more funds for the state. He highlighted the government’s efforts to improve Bengaluru’s infrastructure and promised further improvements.
