Union Minister Bandi Sanjay Kumar reacted strongly to the controversy surrounding the Bhagirath case involving his son. Speaking to the media, he said the Bhagirath case has caused emotional stress to his family, especially to his wife. He claimed that some people are trying to portray his son as a criminal without waiting for the investigation results.
Sanjay said his son Bandi Bhagirath has told him that he did not commit any wrongdoing. However, he made it clear that if anyone is proven guilty in the Bhagirath case, they must face punishment according to the law. He also stressed that everyone is equal before the law and no one should receive special treatment.
The minister accused political rivals of targeting his family and turning the issue into a controversy. He warned that those trying to damage his family’s reputation would face consequences.
Meanwhile, police are continuing the investigation into the case registered under the POCSO Act, and a special team is examining the allegations.
