Bhutan Prime Minister Dasho Tshering Tobgay visited Ayodhya yesterday during a four-hour trip, where he offered prayers at the Ram temple in Ayodhya and other important shrines.
Tobgay landed at Ayodhya airport around 9:30 am on a special Indian Air Force plane. He received a red-carpet welcome from the district administration and was greeted by Uttar Pradesh Minister Surya Pratap Shahi, Ayodhya Mayor Girish Pati Tripathi, MLA Ved Prakash Gupta, and senior officials.
From the airport, his convoy moved through the Allahabad and Lucknow-Gorakhpur highways under heavy security. PAC, CRPF, SSF, Civil Police, ATS, and STF personnel guarded the city. The Prime Minister’s Office and the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister’s Office closely monitored the visit.
Tobgay had ‘darshan’ at the Ram Lalla temple, Hanuman Garhi, and other sacred places in Ayodhya. Officials hosted a special lunch in his honor before his scheduled departure to Delhi at 1:30 pm.
Speaking about the trip, Minister Shahi said Bhutan and India share deep ties. Leaders from both countries frequently meet, and the Bhutan PM’s visit to the Ram temple in Ayodhya yesterday highlighted the strength of these relations.
