A video showing former US President Joe Biden with a noticeable scar on his forehead has raised health concerns among his supporters. The video, recorded over Labour Day weekend in Delaware, shows Biden leaving a church with a red mark on his scalp, partly covered by his hair. The scar has sparked questions about Biden’s health, especially considering his recent medical history.
Fred Karger, who filmed the video, suggested that the scar might be related to the surgery Biden underwent for skin cancer treatment. Karger said the scar looked fresh and might be connected to the removal of basal cell skin cancers from Biden’s head. The 82-year-old former president had Mohs surgery, a method used to treat skin cancer, to remove a head lesion.
Biden’s medical team confirmed the surgery and said it was part of his ongoing treatment for skin cancer. In early 2023, Biden had basal cell carcinoma removed from his chest. His wife, Jill Biden, also underwent similar surgery in 2023. Additionally, Biden has been diagnosed with aggressive prostate cancer, which is currently being treated.
