Ahead of Navratri, the Bihar government has decided to give ₹5000 to construction workers for clothing under the Annual Clothing Assistance Scheme. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar made the announcement, stating that the scheme will help 16,04,929 workers.
The announcement coincided with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday on September 17. Kumar highlighted the importance of improving the lives of working-class people and ensuring they have access to basic necessities.
The scheme will allocate ₹802.46 crore to benefit workers across the state. Each worker will receive ₹5000, which aims to support their social and economic development.
This initiative is part of the Bihar government’s ongoing efforts to uplift workers and improve their living conditions. The Chief Minister also wished Prime Minister Modi on his birthday.
